Egan is active as a Senate member for the Senior Class in the Associated Students of Saint Mary's College (ASSMC) and was nominated for his "kind and easy-going nature." He exemplifies Inclusive Community the most out of the five Lasallian Principles by celebrating the diversity of everyone at Saint Mary's College. He also shows respect to all individuals and welcomes everyone who comes into contact with him. When meeting new students, he is very friendly and welcoming. He displays "leadership and care for others." These qualities show in the decisions he has made. He has helped make the 2005-2006 school year great for the seniors through his position in the senate. He was a mentor for the High Potential Program last summer and his presence was greatly appreciated.
Egan is also involved with the Photography Club, MAPAS (Mentoring for Asian Pacific Islanders), helping to plan Asian Culture Night, and A-Voice. He is a diverse student who lends his voice to all different areas on campus. He is not limited to involvement in just one organization, but lends his many talents to various clubs and organizations. He said that he likes to be involved with organizations at Saint Mary's because he feels strong about what the organizations stand for. He is a passionate person, focused on making the Saint Mary's College community better for all students, staff, and faculty.
In Egan's free time, he is just a normal college student at heart. He likes to hang out with his friends and go into the city. He enjoys watching television, and maintains a happy, active lifestyle balancing school and being involved with various organizations.
After he graduates, Egan wants to take a year off from school and afterward he hopes to go to grad school and become a college history professor. He is a very determined individual. When he has time off, he wants to travel. He said he has been "fortunate enough to go to parts of Europe, but wants to visit Russia, Japan, or Thailand." Exploring these new countries will be his top priority during that time. Ephraim Egan is a talented role model for all students because of the superior qualities he possesses.
