The women's crew team had a solid outing on Saturday, placing second in the Sacramento Invitational in their first contest of the spring season. SMC had three boats in the water for the meet, with the varsity eight finishing in second place with a time of 703.5, while the second eight took third place with a time of 7:31.0 and the novice eight also finished third with a time of 7:38.8.

Saint Mary's will return to the water for their first conference meet, the West Coast Conference Challenge, this Saturday and Sunday at Lake Natomo. The Gaels eight will take on three teams over the weekend including Gonzaga, San Diego, and Loyola Marymount.
