The Gaels lit up the scoreboard on Friday as they went on to win 13-10. Senior outfielders Preston Young and Sam Carter combined for nine of the 13 RBI's and each punched out two home runs. The two home runs on Friday increased Young's total to six, which leads the team.
Senior Joel Fountain picked up his fourth win of the season despite a struggling defense. Fountain went six innings while giving up five runs, two earned, and striking out ten. The Gaels committed five errors on the day.
Saint Mary's came up on the short end in game two, 10-9. Senior Delaney Gallagher led the way for the Gaels with three RBI's in the contest.
Senior Corey Madden had a career-high 11 strikeouts but it would not be enough as Southern Utah would have an eight-run sixth inning to go ahead 8-3.
