Seemingly a Pop Warner remake of The Longest Yard, Gridiron Gang proves itself as a compelling drama that addresses the real life issue of gang violence.
The Rock and Xzibit star as probation officers-turned-coaches who make an impact on the lives of teens attending Camp Kilpatrick, a detention center in
Los Angeles. Based on a true story, Gridiron Gang hasn't reached the top of the charts for nothing. It surpasses other films of its kind in that it has a valid message. Just as Boyz N the Hood did, the film serves as a wake up call to the American public. This film is worth seeing at least once.
