Late '90s pop music is awesome.
It is the soundtrack to our youth. Before I developed my own musical taste, I listened to Z95.7 every day (remember, Bay Area kids?). The station played all the hits, from Savage Garden to LFO, with everything else in between.
I played a CD of these songs at a friend's dorm last week, and it was a huge hit. That shows the awesomeness of these songs: they remind us of middle-school dances, skating rinks, and other events of our past.
I like these songs for that reason, as well as because they are just so darn catchy.
Don't be ashamed to admit that you like them too.
