Sunday night, the Gaels faced the #12 University of San Francisco (USF) Dons. Unfortunately for the Gaels, the Dons got the early lead and held on to it for a 1-0 victory.

The Dons scored in the 12th minute when USF's Ardalan Attar passed the ball to Jesse Henderson just left of the box. Henderson then centered the ball to an oncoming Neil Stuart who volleyed the ball right under the crossbar, taking the lead.

The Gaels tried to answer back. Their best chance came just minutes into the second half off a blast from freshman Dylan Leslie that rang off the cross bar.

Gaels' pressure forced three corner kicks in the late minutes. Leslie then registered his second shot on net, but goalie Geremy Uhl was there for the save.

Junior goalkeeper Brian Mason made two saves in the match, keeping the Dons to only one goal, but it was not enough.

With the loss, the Gaels fall to 2-4-2 in WCC and 4-7-5 overall.
