De La Salle dedicated his life to education and the Christian Brothers. Brother Michael Sanderl said, "The week is an opportunity for the campus to come together and celebrate the heritage of our community and raise awareness about what we are currently doing as a community."
From the community barbeque, to a Convocation Honoree and the Carnival-4-Kids, the week is full of a variety of activities. Sanderl said, "Every year there continues to be more energy and momentum. This year there are a variety of clubs and organizations becoming more involved in putting on activities throughout the week."
The College community invites its students, Christian Brothers, faculty and staff to continue joining the celebration of the life of De La Salle and the Mission of the Lasallian Community. The week kicked off on Sunday, April 22, with the College mass. Each day of the week recognizes a different aspect of De La Salle and what he believed in, including inclusive community, faith in the presence of God, quality education, respect for all people, concern for the poor, and social justice.
