Joel Kusnierz '08 had a thrilling comeback at the #1 position against Santa Clara's Jan Macek to help the Gaels secure a third place conference finish, the highest in program history.

After splitting sets, Kusnierz was down 1-5 in third set. After fighting off three match points, Kusnierz brought himself back into the match, tying the score at 5-5. He then swept the next two games for the win.



Honorable Mention: The women's basketball team, down by 18 points against Miami, came back in the second half, scoring 48 points for a 69-68 victory.
